"More danger for Dudley!"

Synopsis

On ground level, Dudley looks up in horror at Predator, who has Mikros at his mercy. The Chromatic criminal lifts Mikros overhead with one hand, and effortlessly throws him from the roof. For the diminutive Chromobot, it all happens too quickly for him to activate his unreliable jetpack, and the ground is getting a lot closer...

Suddenly, he is caught in a sphere of energy, and as he is slowly lowered to the ground, he shakily introduces Dudley to an ally: Shield. Dudley is shocked at the size of this other Chromobot, but Mikros interrupts their meeting, pointing to the flash of energy at the top of the skyscraper.

On the rooftop, Transmute recovers from the battle. Predator has kidnapped the female with a hitherto unknown teleportation power. With the villain gone without a trace and possessing abilities beyond those on record, Transmute wonders what his team can do track him down and protect both worlds.

Quotes

"I don't believe it! I let you guys out by yourselves and look what happens!!"

Shield brings the banter.

Notes

Artwork and technical errors

  • The final panel, asking if "the power of the Chromobots [can] stop Predator", ends without a question mark.

Continuity errors

Continuity notes

  • Mikros's jetpack is still on the blink, which caused him to meet Dudley in the first place in issue 12. He says it's been of no use since their arrival, suggesting that his meeting with Dudley was not long after the Chromobots arrived on Earth.
  • Shield was seen in flashback in issue 16, but was unnamed.
  • Tessa Stone is present but unseen in this issue, referred to only as "the female" by Transmute.
