There are... no strings... on me.

The rogue Chromobot Predator considers himself above all others. Once, he was an intergalactic despot, and any world that he didn't destroy or devour he instead bent to his will and ruled as a god. His reign of terror stopped with his imprisonment – but a recent escape has seen him depart for a backwards planet infested with carbon-based creatures, where he can find the technology he needs to enact his revenge on Chromos Five and the rest of the Chromobot Empire.

More than simply physically strong, the Chromatic Star Federation's files report Predator to be near indestructible, and he possesses acute hunting sensors. His keen intellect and reasoning mind allow him to modify alien resources to his own ends – perhaps even onto his own body, if his left arm is any indication – to create powerful weaponry and new forms of life. This adaptability makes him an unpredictable foe, putting Transmute's police team on the back foot with surprising new abilities like teleportation, psionic assimilation, and time travel.

What Predator has over most supervillains is that he actually succeeds.

"Call all you may upon your deity! None will save you from Predator!"

Fiction

Predator was a notorious Chromobot criminal. The Chromobots issue 16 According to his own boasts, he was responsible for destroying, devouring, and enslaving various planets. Issue 18 After disrupting the peace of Chromos Five by escaping from its prison system, Predator planned to head to Earth and combine its nuclear weaponry with Chromobot technology to create a super-weapon powerful enough to destroy his home planet. In response, the Chromatic Star Federation dispatched two police starships – one containing Transmute, Mikros, and Shield – to apprehend or annihilate Predator. Transmute, as the team's leader, related this story to Dudley, a human ally he and Mikros had fallen in with. Issue 16

Predator's first target on Earth was the nuclear arms designer Tessa Stone, owner of Stone Industries. Tracking her down to her apartment, Predator kidnapped Tessa, but her screaming alerted Dudley and the Chromobots. Transmute whanged Predator in the faceplate, announcing his name, affiliation, and mission. Issue 17 The two grappled; Predator refused to bow to a lowly cretin like Transmute, but his killing blow was prevented by an optic blast from Mikros. Predator was too quick to allow him a second shot, and he tossed Mikros across to the edge of the roof. Turning back to Tessa, he told her that her life would now be enriched in service to him, in the cause of destroying Chromos Five and dominating Earth! Issue 18 Predator silently threw Mikros off the edge of the roof, and then teleported away with Tessa – an ability Transmute didn't know he had. Issue 19
