There's no need to feel down.

Did you hear the one about the Yungmun? A funny thing happened to him on the way to a gig. He'd just flew in from a planet he'd bored to death – and yes, his arms were tired, don't even ask – and the audience groaned at him! I tell ya, tough crowd! Kids these days wouldn't know a joke if it bit 'em! No respect for the classics!

The Yungmun won't be here all week.

Fiction

The Yungmun had a wife. A funny thing once happened to him on the way to the Mugawap Gala, and he once bit a hungry man. The Yungmun's one-liners bored a planet to death, and dozed another into oblivion, classifying him as a dangerous threat, though he seemed unaware of his reputation.

The Yungmun arrived on Bznko, and performed a set for an unappreciative crowd at regular intervals. One such occasion overlapped with the visit of Planet Terry, an intergalactic traveller searching for his parents. When Terry questioned the onlookers why no-one had ever thought to boo him, the Yungmun recoiled. Until this point, the locals had never been able to recall the word to demonstrate their dislike.

The Yungmun's shock turned into dismay at his shabby treatment, and decided to leave and never come back. As a parting shot, he told the crowds he could always turn to selling refrigerators to Eskimos. This was met with a chorus of boos.

The inhabitants of Bznko were so grateful to Terry for driving off the Yungmun that they granted him their highest honour – the literal pick of the litter. The Search Later, when Terry and Robota departed the planet in his ship with a "See you in a few months!", two inhabitants responded "Not if we see you first!", prompting the hunched dragon man to ask if they were a new Yungmun. A Clue

Notes

If it gets any livelier, a funeral's gonna break out!
  • The Yungmun is named after one-liner comedian Henny Youngman, even getting to recite Youngman's signature line "Take my wife... please!" He's not especially based on him otherwise, lacking any facial resemblance and Youngman's ever-present violin.
  • Like plenty of Planet Terry aliens, the Yungman makes a background appearance in the 2009-2010 miniseries X-Babies specifically the second issue.  His colours aren't right, but join the club.
