Matt's parents are the normal human parents of Matt. They're a little faint-hearted, which is surprising considering they have to live with Humph.

Matt (and presumably, his family) got Humph from a pet shop. Matt and the Cat issue 10
One Friday night, Matt's parents told him to put Humph out for the night. Issue 5 After the sequence of space adventures that followed, Octus Alpha's time disc returned Matt, Humph, and their new friends to the same night, not long after they'd left. At first concerned about the presence of Olia-cym and Digbeth, they soon fainted at the sight of the latter's... unconventional facial features. Issue 73
