A day in the life of Captain UHU, a superhero with sticking power.

Synopsis

On a routine patrol through space, Captain UHU and his UHU Task Force detect trouble on planet Earth – a boy has ineptly attempted to create a model spaceship without any glue!

Thinking quickly, the Task Force dispatches UHU Stic, which the boy and girl use the fix their model. As they thank UHU, Captain UHU reminds them that the UHU Task Force is never far away if they ever get into a... sticky situation! (Chortle!)

The audience is warned that the UHU Task Force is patrolling all good stores and newsagents now.

Notes

  • In the absence of a title, this article is named after the opening caption.
  • The lower half of this full page ad is taken up by "The UHU Task Force CHALLENGE!!", a competition open to under-16s with three first prizes of a BMX bike and 2000 runner-up prizes of a UHU folding beach hat and matching shoulder bag. Stylish! But the competition itself is nuts: the entry form lists the six advantages of UHU Stic – "Washes off fingers and clothes; Suitable for wide range of materials; Gives time to reposition work before glue sets; Solid, will not spill; Easy to open; Last a long time" – and entrants must number them 1-6 in order of importance. Then, once sent in with a UHU proof of purchase, the winner will be chosen by how close it matches the order of importance determined by the panel of UHU judges – and you have to send in an SAE just to find out the results!
