One time Vermin used it to put a bathtub on top of Princess Ugly's staircase.

A Mayhem Maker is a large computer bank capable of adversely affecting its environment, such as spontaneously generating a volcano or whipping up running water into a whirlpool. Not only that, its screen offers its user flawless surveillance of the area in which their chaos is being caused.

Fiction

Vermin the Vile owned a Mayhem Maker. Too Close (Enough) for Comfort It appeared to be imported from beyond Gorkel, as an approved Mayhem Maker repairman called in by Vermin was neither a Gorkel nor of Vermin's species. The Doom of the Domed City The Gorkels were aware that Vermin had the Mayhem Maker; as Planet Terry, Robota, and Omnus prepared to travel to the Domed City, a Gorkel warned them of many dangers, the Mayhem Maker among them. The Saga of Princess Ugly

As Terry and his crew made their way through Gorkel's impenetrable forest, they were observed by Scavage, Vermin's familiar. Vermin used the Mayhem Maker to put some obstacles between the three heroes and his Domed City. His first obstacle was to trap them in tickle vines, but Robota freed them. Then, a crack in the ground formed a volcano spewing molten lava, but Omnus granted his friends safe passage. When they came across a placid stream, Vermin used the Mayhem Maker to turn it into a whirlpool, whipping them up and through the air to the outskirts of the Domed City. They were confined in a bubble cell, and Vermin mentioned that he had lifted the mist that had disguised the Domed City, but it is unclear if either was caused by the Mayhem Maker. Too Close (Enough) for Comfort

Vermin left them in the bubble cell, but his plan to keep an eye on them using the Mayhem Maker failed after the machine acted up again. Vermin called the repairman, who diagnosed the Mayhem Maker with problems so severe that it had to go back to the shop, something Scavage called a bad omen. This proved to be quite literal; after Terry and co. freed Princess (shudder) Ugly from Vermin's clutches, she told them that the prophetic Book of the Gorkels predicted that the Domed City would be destroyed when the Mayhem Maker went berserk. Sure enough, the Mayhem Maker exploded, taking the Domed City with it, though everyone had managed to evacuate, Vermin included. The Doom of the Domed City
