Humph wanted to send a subscription in to Marvel The Transformers issue 13/Matt and the Cat having found out he could from an issue of The Transformers. The Transformers issue 12/Matt and the Cat He thought he had missed the opportunity, apparently not noticing a moon or planetoid near Darkon with a big sign advertising for Marvel. The Transformers issue 16/Matt and the Cat He showed his fandom by wearing a "Make Mine Marvel" shirt under his smock top. Matt was also a fan as, when offered a space suit to survive the cold climate of Darkon, he reckoned it'd make him look like something out of Marvel Comics. The Transformers issue 17/Matt and the Cat After they'd landed on Darkon, Humph was grabbed by the Myzoni. He tried to break the ice by asking if they'd seen a post office from which to send his subscription. The Transformers issue 21/Matt and the Cat When Humph unwittingly became the head of a Slavebot uprising, he was glad he read Matt's Marvel comics so at least he could emulate a superhero. Finding a post office for his subscription was third on his agenda after attacking a Myzoni patrol car and finding Matt. The Transformers issue 25/Matt and the Cat Not long afterwards, Matt attempted to escape from the Myzoni's clutches using his knowledge of how to fight robots, aliens, and the odd mutant from reading his Marvel comics. The Transformers issue 26/Matt and the Cat

Young Dudley was a Marvel fan, having a "Make Mine Marvel" flag on his bedroom wall. The Transformers issue 12/The Chromobots The Transformers issue 16/The Chromobots The Transformers issue 20/The Chromobots One of Marvel's titles was Captain America; Dudley owned at least one issue of it. The Transformers issue 13/The Chromobots Dudley's Chromobot ally Mikros reported to Cygnet of the Chromatic Star Federation that Dudley was familiar with the existence of mutants, aliens, and robotic life-forms thanks to Marvel, though it was unclear if she Cygnet was made aware that "Marvel" was a comic book publisher. The Transformers issue 21/The Chromobots After the Chromobots were transported to the year 2535, Mikros wished he'd stayed at home reading Dudley's comics. The Transformers issue 22/The Chromobots Dudley hoped that his ally Shield could defeat the Brute so that he could see his home and his Marvel comics again. The Transformers issue 24/The Chromobots Dudley also reckoned he could use the evil Predator's time modulator to avert this future in favour of a nicer one, where people were into Marvel in a big way. The Transformers issue 25/The Chromobots When he did manage to return to 1985, comics were among the things he was grateful he'd be able to see again, alongside home, his own bed, and chip butties. The Transformers issue 26/The Chromobots
